Southern Miss Officials Following Hurricane Gustav; Season Opener Set Saturday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The University of Southern Mississippi athletics department, in coordination with university and state personnel, is monitoring the progression of Hurricane Gustav, but there is no anticipated impact on the Golden Eagles' season opener Saturday against Louisiana-Lafayette.

Game time for the Southern Miss opener is slated for 6 p.m., at Carlisle-Faulkner Field at Roberts Stadium.
