HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Eagle Club announced Friday that parking for the 2008 football season is quickly filling up due to a record demand.
"We are excited to sell a school-record number of parking passes, but want to let our fans know that this also means that the Eagle Club will not be able to fulfill every parking request," Southern Miss Eagle Club Executive Director Dick Vogel stated. "Selling out our reserved parking is a great problem for us to have, and for us to grow, these types of things will happen along the way. Again, we ask for our fans understanding."
Due to this situation, the Eagle Club has acquired an additional 40 parking spaces for Lot 16 - a $125-$250 level lot. These spaces will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
For someone wanting to join the Eagle Club at a level over $1,000, there are still a very limited number of parking spaces available. The Athletic Department expects to be completely sold out of reserved parking spaces prior to the first home football game against Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday, August 30.
