HATTIESBURG, Miss - The Southern Miss football team worked out for the third consecutive day inside Carlisle-Faulkner Field at M.M. Roberts Stadium Wednesday afternoon as they completed the 14th practice of the 2008 fall camp.
The Golden Eagles practiced for approximately two-and-a-half hours in full pads under relatively mild weather conditions considering the last three practices had been held in the rain for the Golden Eagles.
Head Coach Larry Fedora was pleased with Wednesday's effort.
"We had another good practice today," Fedora said. "The defense had a nice day today, but to get where we need to be we will need every practice between now and August 30."
The team worked many different situations in a full pad scrimmage including two-minute offense, four-minute offense, playing out of the end zone as well as special teams.
Southern Miss will return to the practice field tomorrow for the final two-a-day of fall camp.
Fans can still purchase their season tickets by going by the Pat Ferlise Athletic Ticket Office from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday or by calling 1-800-84-TICK. Fans can also purchase tickets online at SouthernMiss.com. Single game seats are also available for all six home games.
