Player of the Week - Gerald McRath

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - This week's Golden Eagle Player of the Week is Golden Eagle football player Gerald McRath.
The 6-foot-2, 221 redshirt junior linebacker from Powder Springs, Ga., racked up 16 total tackles, 10 assisted and 6 solo, this weekend against Memphis. It was the second-best tackle total that McRath has recorded this season.
McRath also notched a fumble recovery against Memphis and added an interception on a 2-point extra point try against the Tigers.
He ranks second in the country in tackles at 12.3 per game on the strength of five double-digit tackle performances and has 98 total tackles on the year.
McRath and the Golden Eagles return home to "The Rock," Saturday, November 1st, to face off against the UAB Blazers for homecoming. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. CT.
