What was it like to get your first home run against Louisiana Lafayette?
"It felt good, especially since I was struggling. It came at a crucial time in the game."
With the way the season has been going, do you feel as if you have to step up more has a leader?
"Yes. It's not a secret that I should be doing better as far as my numbers go. I'm just going to keep on keeping on, and hopefully it comes through in the end."
What player on the team has surprised you and stepped up their game?
"Logan James. She came out and did better than people expected her to do. I think that comes from her having so much heart and determination to be the best player she can be."
If you could punk any one of your teammates or coaches who would it be?
"I would have to say Megan Hill, because she just needs to be gotten one time and have someone pull the wool over her eyes. I would probably want it to be a joke involving the law and her getting arrested."
What are your likes and dislikes about traveling?
"One thing that I like is getting to see so many places that I would not get to see if it was not for softball. My dislike is the late nights coming home and then having to go to class the next morning."
Why did you choose 24 has your number?
"I had a cousin who was very athletic when he was younger, and he had an accident and is no longer able to play sports. He wore number 24. I feel like I am playing for him."
Who is the biggest prankster on the team?
"Melissa Prouty. She is always throwing something or messing with someone in some kind of way."
What does it mean to you to be a Golden Eagle?
"As far as softball goes, it's like we're a family. It means that we're there for each other no matter what. That is why we all wear the link around our neck, to remind us that we are a family."
What are you listening to on your Ipod before a game?
"Foxy Lady by Jimmy Hendrix"
What is your favorite Southern Miss moment so far?
"Last year when we beat Alabama. They were ranked in the top ten in the nation.
