How are you feeling about your junior campaign?
"I'm feeling pretty good about it. I think our team is coming together better now than we were at the start of the season. I'm ready to see how we end the season."
What is your role on the team?
"I feel like I'm a motivator, and I'm always trying to help everybody stay up. I also have to lead by example by making plays and getting hits that we need. I just try to help with the overall leadership of the younger players on the team."
Who do you think has stepped up this season that you didn't expect?
"Brandi Alonzo, who is a freshman, has one of the highest batting averages on our team. She has stepped up big time in the lead off position and in left field."
How good did it feel to sweep Marshall last weekend?
"It was excellent. It was the best part of our season so far. We all came together as a team, and it was the best feeling to see us come together like that and win that series."
What do you like and dislike about traveling?
"Traveling is hectic, especially in airports when you have to check everything in and get everybody's bags checked and make sure that everybody gets through security. The best part is being together as a team on the plane, it's kind of fun to hang with each other and be together while we're flying."
Would you rather bus or fly to destinations?
"I would rather bus, I don't like flying."
If you could punk any of your teammates or coaches who would it be and why?
"It would have to be my roommate Jennifer Fox. I think she would give a great reaction. I would probably do something to her car, because that's her baby. I've actually thought about that before."
What does it mean to you to be a Golden Eagle?
"Pride is one of the biggest parts of being a Golden Eagle. They have a lot of history here, so holding up those standards is a big job. It's about having pride in our university, pride in our team, pride in ourselves, and pride in each other."
How has collegiate softball contributed to or changed your life?
"It's definitely a character builder for me. I've had a couple of rough seasons, so it's making me a stronger person, mentally and physically. I also think it has made the people around me respect me more as a person."
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
"I would want to read minds. I think it would be interesting to see what people are thinking on and off the field."
