Hill Named Conference USA Softball Hitter of the Week

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss freshman Megan Hill was named Conference USA Softball Hitter of the Week as announced by the conference office this morning.
The designated hitter recorded a 1.000 batting average in Southern Miss' C-USA split with UTEP and a .667 (4-for-6) batting average on the week. In the two-game series against UTEP, Hill hit for the cycle, moving her season home run total to a league-leading 12. She went 4-for-4 with four walks, one intentional, three RBI, 10 total bases and slugged 2.500.
In the 4-3 extra-inning victory over the Miners, Hill went 3-for-3 with a two-RBI home run, which sent the contest into extra innings. In the final contest, she went 1-for-1 with a double and three walks. For the week, Hill tallied 10 total bases and slugged 1.667. She has recorded five home runs in the last 10 contests.
This is Hill's first weekly C-USA honor.
