Football Spring Practice Opens, Tuesday, March 20

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss opens its spring football practice, Tuesday, March 20, with a 3:30 p.m. workout at the Joe P. Park Practice Facility on the Golden Eagle campus.
The workout is the first of 15 over a four-week period, which will conclude with the Spring Game, April, 14, at 1 p.m. The practice schedule includes these dates: March 20, 21, 23, 24, 27, 28, 30 and 31, as well as April 3, 4, 6, 7, 10 and 11.
The Golden Eagles finished the 2006 season with a 9-5 record and a GMAC Bowl championship with a 28-7 win over Ohio. Southern Miss also captured the East Division of Conference USA.
Southern Miss opens the 2007 season against Tennessee-Martin, Sept. 1, at M.M. Roberts Stadium.
