Softball Travels to No. 25 Florida State

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss softball team travels to Tallahassee, Florida, to take on Florida State in a doubleheader, beginning at 3 p.m.
This will be the 12th meeting between the two teams since first meeting in 1984, with Florida State owning an 8-3 advantage over Southern Miss. They last met in 2004, in which the Seminoles recorded a 9-1 victory over the Lady Eagles.
Southern Miss (7-16) enters the midweek contest, coming off of three-straight losses to Conference USA rival Houston last weekend. Florida State (18-8) is coming off of a 2-1 loss to No. 21 Georgia in its annual FSU Invitational.
Fans can listen to the Lady Eagle softball team on the Southern Miss ISP Sports Network. The games will be available on SouthernMiss.com and on yahoo sports.
The first game of the doubleheader can be seen live through ACC Select streaming internet video.
