* Senior defensive back Brandon Sumrall picked off his team-leading third and fourth passes of the year. They were also his ninth and tenth career interceptions. The two-interception game was the first of his career.
* The Golden Eagles have intercepted at least one pass in eight of their ten games.
* Sumrall's 82-yard interception return for a touchdown was the first defensive touchdown of the season, and the first since James Denley had one against Ohio in the GMAC Bowl, January 7, 2007. It is also the third longest interception return in school history.
* Sumrall became the first player to intercept two passes in a game since Jasper Faulk, October 8, 2005, versus Tulsa.
* Senior offensive lineman Chris Clark tallied his 36th straight start, the first 30 coming at left tackle with the last six at left guard.
