Golden Eagle Fans Invited to Fanfare

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Golden Eagle fans are invited to help kick off the 2006-2007 Southern Miss athletic campaign on Saturday, August 12, when the South Central Mississippi Chapter of the Alumni Association hosts the 11th Annual Fanfare Presented by The First A National Banking Association at the Payne Center on the Hattiesburg campus.
At the event, alumni and friends of the University can mingle not only with head coaches Jeff Bower, Larry Eustachy, Joye Lee-McNelis, and Corky Palmer, but members of the football, soccer and volleyball teams, Seymour and Golden Eagle cheerleaders as well. The event will begin with a dinner and silent auction at 6 p.m. with the program to follow at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door for adults; $8 in advance and $10 at the door for children 5-12; and free for children under 5. Tickets can be purchased from the Pat Ferlise Center at 601.266.5418, the Ogletree Alumni House at 601.266.5013, or by contacting chapter president Kristi Pierce at kristina.pierce@usm.edu or 601.266.5017. Tickets are also available online at www.SouthernMissAlumni.com. Each ticket purchased will qualify the ticket holder for a tailgating package drawing courtesy of Barnes and Noble, one of the event's sponsors.
