HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss football team practiced for two hours, today, at the Joe P. Park Practice Facility, continuing preparations for Saturday's Conference USA match-up with Marshall.
"We had a good practice today," Head Coach Jeff Bower said. "It was the regular routine, but I thought we had a good day."
Bower also mentioned that sophomore offensive lineman Ryan McKee was able to participate in practice today and that redshirt junior defensive lineman Sean Merrill has a possibility of practicing on Wednesday.
When asked about the intensity of the Golden Eagles in anticipation of Saturday's match-up, Bower said that the players know what they need to do.
"The intensity is building, but you don't want them to be intense all week long," Bower added. "If you can't get ready to play this one, you don't need to be here."
Kickoff for Saturday's game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., CT., at M.M. Roberts Stadium. Fans not able to attend the game can watch it on CSTV.
Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the Southern Miss Athletic Ticket Office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by calling 1-800-844-TICK.
