Daigle Named ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss senior long snapper Stephen Daigle has been named to the ESPN The Magazine District Six Academic All-District First Team as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America. He will now move on the national ballot for consideration for Academic All-America honors.
Daigle, who holds a 3.37 grade point average in marine biology, has been the Golden Eagles snapper for punts since he walked on the team in 2003 and for field goals in 2004 and eventually earned a scholarship. Southern Miss has had only two blocked kicks since he has taken over the snapping duties.
Daigle is a member of the dean's list and the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
