HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss football team practiced for two hours, today, at the Joe P. Park Practice Facility, continuing preparations for its match-up with East Division rival East Carolina on Saturday.
"We had a good practice today," Head Coach Jeff Bower said.
Bower gave mention to freshman Damion Fletcher's progress by saying that he performed better in today's practice than on Monday.
"He's good," added Bower. "He did a little more today. We're trying to bring him along slowly, and we're working on getting him stronger."
When asked about the condition of senior center Robby D'Angelo, Bower said that he did a few things at practice today but isn't completely 100 percent
"He's getting there," claimed Bower. "He's going to play through it. We don't have any breaks."
Bower said it is important that the team needs to keep having good practices this week in order to prepare for the tough match-up with the Pirates.
Kickoff for Saturday's game is set for 6:30 p.m.
