Football Team Continues Alabama Preparation in Memphis Head Coach Jeff Bower assessed the practice and felt very pleased with the effort of the players. ?I thought today?s practice was very good,? Bower said. ?It was one of better days since the Hurricane. We still have some work to do over the next few days but the players bounced around and had a lot of enthusiasm today. We did some work with the two-minute offense for conditioning purposes. We will do a little conditioning tomorrow but we will start backing off of it starting tomorrow so the players will have their legs back for Saturday?s game. ?We will keep working on the mental part of our game, try to eliminate the mental errors and try to be sharp in our execution over the next few days. The three injured guys, Mitch Craft, Caleb Hendrix and Gerald McRath are day-to-day and will be assessed each day.? The team returns to the practice field on Wednesday, for a single practice at 10 a.m. Southern Miss opens its season Saturday, Sept. 10, in a 6:45 p.m., nationally televised ESPN2 contest.
