Trevis: The night before games I usually sleep well. Before I go to bed, I visualize the game and about making plays in it, and sometimes I have dreams about the game.
Kevis: I sleep well before our games. The coaches give us a game plan test before each game, so I take the test on the nights before our games. I also visualize myself making plays in the coming game. I basically try to think about all the information I can about our opponent.
Trevis: Gamedays at The Rock are great. It?s always good to play at home with all of the fans behind you. It?s not like playing away, where all the fans are against you.
Kevis: Playing at The Rock is a lot of fun. It?s an outstanding atmosphere with the student body and the fans because they are all great fans. They support us well. Some people say that The Rock is a hard place to play at, and we want to keep it that way and come out that way on Saturday.
Trevis: The difference between playing at home and playing away, like at
Kevis: The main thing that makes The Rock unique is its fans. We only seat 33,000, but those fans are really loud for it to be a smaller stadium than some of the other schools.
Trevis: With this finally being our first home game, it?s great to be here. It?s always great to play at home in your own stadium, in front of your own fans. I?m very pumped up about our first home game, because I know that there?s going to be a good atmosphere here. It?s also a night game, and personally, I like night games better than day games. The atmosphere is much better with night games, like the
Kevis: We?re very excited to finally play at home. It?s going to be great, and we?re pumped up about it. We didn?t get the opportunity to play the first game at home (Tulane), but we?re starting off with
Trevis: Making a big play in front of the home crowd always feels good. Knowing that they?re all behind you and that excites them when you make a big play.
Kevis: It definitely feels good to make a play in front of your home crowd, especially when you make a big hit and you hear the ?oooohhs.? If it?s a hit that people will remember, they will come up to you after the game and tell you how nice of a hit it was.
Trevis: When people come up to me at the end of the game after making a big play, I feel special. You would never think that that many people know you. That feels good and makes me feel like I?m somebody.
Kevis: It always feels good to get that kind of attention, from the little kids to the adults. You may think that they don?t know you, but people will come up to you that you have never seen your whole life saying things like, ?Nice game Kevis Coley? and know where you?re from, and things like that. So it feels good to get that kind of attention from people that keep up with your life like that.
Trevis: Though
Kevis: I?ve heard that
Trevis: I expect this game to be physical, though I expect every game we play to be physical. If not, then we have to make it physical.
Kevis: Just like my brother said, if the game is not physical, then we?re going to make it physical. We?re ready to come out and fight for that first ?W.?
Trevis: The statement that Southern Miss is trying to make for this game is that we?re trying to make our record 1-1. We want to come out, have fun playing ball and do what we like to do.
Kevis: We?re taking one game at a time, and we?re starting with
