Head Coach Jeff Bower said that the team had a good final two-a-day practice.
?It was good and we had good competition,? Bower said. ?We didn?t catch the ball well this afternoon. I was disappointed in that. We shortened this afternoon?s practice down some to give the players more time off for tomorrow?s scrimmage.
?Defense had a good day today. We?ll find out more tomorrow. We?ve got to eliminate some mental errors and grow up in a few positions, but we?ll be fine.?
Bower said that Caleb Hendrix (hamstring) missed practice today and will be day-to-day. Bower also added that though he named redshirt freshman Ladarius Webb a starter following Monday morning?s practice, that doesn?t mean he has the position nailed down.
?He deserves the opportunity start right now, but that could change between now and gameday,? Bower said. ?He?s practiced better and has performed better. Right now he is one of our best at the position.?
The team will have a single practice tomorrow, before classes begin on Thursday.
