Southern Miss enters this weekend's series after dropping a 5-2 decision to in-state rival
The Lady Eagles hit .280 as a team, with 172 runs, 288 hits, 58 doubles, 17 home runs, four triples, 153 RBI and 74 stolen bases.
Charity Butler leads the team with a .373 batting average and ranks second on the squad with 41 hits. Jessica Huerta leads Southern Miss with 43 hits, 11 doubles, three triples, 26 RBI, 29 runs and 18 stolen bases. Ashley Davis leads the team with six home runs.
The Lady Eagle pitching staff has an ERA of 4.05, with 9 shutouts and 22 complete games.
Krystal Crooks leads the staff with a 3.19 ERA, including 12 complete games and three shutouts. In 125 innings of work, she has allowed 132 hits, 72 runs, 57 earned, walked 36, struck out 44, while holding batters to a .267 average. Danielle Wymer leads the staff with 77 strikeouts on the season.
