The two teams will meet for the 24th, 25th and 26th times this weekend, with USF holding a 12-11 series advantage. In league games, USF also holds an 8-7 advantage, but with single victories over the Lady Bulls in 2000 and 2002 Conference USA Tournaments, Southern Miss holds a 9-8 advantage in league competition. In the last meeting in
Southern Miss (17-15, 5-1) hits .291 as a team, with 155 runs, 241 hits, 50 doubles, four triples, 16 home runs, 141 RBI and 59 stolen bases.
Jessica Huerta continues to pace the Lady Eagle offense in multiple categories, including batting average (.388), runs (27), hits (38), triples (three), doubles (nine), RBI (24), total bases (59), slugging percentage (.602), on-base percentage (.457) and stolen bases (16).
Charity Butler ranks second on the team with a .371 batting average and 33 hits, while Jennifer Fox is second on the team with 22 RBI.

The pitching staff has a 3.20 ERA, including 17 complete games and nine shutouts. In 212 innings pitched, the staff has allowed 215 hits, 122 runs, 97 earned, walked 71, struck out 120 and has held batters to a .261 average.
Kyrstal Crooks leads the staff with a 9-3 record and 1.98 ERA, including nine complete games and three shutouts. Samantha Ray leads the team with a .360 batting average, 45 hits and 16 stolen bases. Tiffany Stewart and Krista Holle each have seven doubles on the season, while Holle leads USF with 24 RBI, while seven other players have double-digit RBI numbers. Three players have hit four home runs, including Holle, Bree Spence and Christie Chapman.
The team's pitching staff has an ERA of 2.47, including 11 complete games and five shutouts. In 255 innings of work, the staff has given up 248 hits, 134 runs, 90 earned, walked 96, struck out 168 and held teams to a .247 average.
Kasey Cash leads the squad with a 2.29 ERA, including a complete game, while Danielle Urbanik has a 2.32 ERA and a team-high two shutouts. Spence leads the staff with a 9-6 record in a staff-high 117 innings of work and leads USF with eight complete games. She has allowed 127 hits, 56 runs, 40 earned, 30 walks, 66 strikeouts, while holding batters to a .271 average.
