?Go Red? For Saturday?s Softball Season Opener
In honor of ?Go Red? day, fans are encouraged to wear red clothing for a $1 admission to Saturday?s doubleheader against the Lady Tigers. Game times are set for 1 and 3 p.m.
Feb. 4 is a national wear red day for women. ?Go Red? for women is the movement to give women lifesaving powers to prevent this disease and have long, healthy futures. The color red is designed to symbolize the heart.
Heart disease has become the No. 1 killer in women today.
?We want to raise awareness about a serious health problem not only for women, but for everyone,? Southern Miss Head Coach Gay McNutt said. ?This is an easy way for us to raise awareness about heart disease, while promoting the start of our softball season. We hope that everyone will ?Go Red? on Saturday and support our team as we begin the defense of our Conference USA championship.?
Season tickets are available for $50. For more information, visit southernmiss.com, or call the ticket office at 1-800-844-TICK.
