Kevis Coley was selected the Southern Miss Student Athlete of the Week for his 18-tackle, including 13 solo stops, one quarterback sack, two tackles for loss and two quarterback hurries at N.C. State on Oct. 29.
The 18 tackles marked a career high for total tackles as well as solo tackles. It was the first time in his career that he had double-digit solo tackles. This also marked the fifth time in seven games this season that he registered double-figure tackles.
For the season, Coley leads the team in tackles with 81 (45 solo; 36 assists), tied for No. 2 on the team with three sacks and is second on the team with 6.5 tackles for loss, along with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
