On The Game:
?It was two different halves. We played well, defensively, in the first half. They obviously made some adjustments. We didn?t get to the quarterback and pressure him like we did in the first half there in the second half. The interception in the game was a huge play. One less possession, we take that, get points off of it. I think, offensively, it was the kind of night where we just made some big plays when we had to. Then when the game was on the line, our offensive line held up and we ran the football. I thought we showed a lot of mental toughness in the game tonight. I?m really pleased, offensively, with how we responded. When they scored, we got on the field and we got points and scored. I?m really proud of our football team. They took care of business on a short week and came in here and played well.?
On The Play Of The Receivers:
?Josh Barnes made some big plays for us. Joe Singleton, I think, had two big catches in the game for us. We played Ed Morgan also a lot in the ballgame. I thought those two young freshmen showed a lot of poise. Josh with the reverse and some other big catches. We talked about that all week. You have some injuries, it?s part of the game. If you?re a backup, you?re one play away from having to go in there and play like a winner.?
On Darren McCaleb?s Three Field Goals:
?If he doesn?t hit those long ones, then the last one doesn?t mean as much. He?s a good one.?
On His 100th Career Win:
?It is special. I haven?t said anything all week long. I think everybody thinks if you talk about it, you?re going to jinx it. I haven?t even mentioned it. My wife hasn?t mentioned it. Nobody on this football team has mentioned it. The only time I?ve heard it mentioned is when I spoke at the Touchdown Club Tuesday night. Other than that, nobody?s mentioned it all week long. My only regret is that my wife isn?t here. I wish she was here to spend it with me.?
