Football Completes Preparation for UCF
Head Coach Jeff Bower was confident about preparations for UCF based on a strong week of practice.
?We?ve had a good week of practice,? Bower said. ?We competed well against each other the entire week. Offensively, we have to get into a rhythm and come out of the gate fast.?
Bower also complimented the visiting Golden Knights.
?This is a talented football team, and a team that has a tremendous amount of confidence coming into this game,? Bower said. ?They?ve run the ball well over the past two weeks. Their running back (Kevin Smith) has two games over 100 yards each of the past two weeks and their quarterback (Steven Moffett) is athletic and can run. He also does a good job of getting the ball to his receivers.?
During Saturday?s game, the 1980 football team, which is holding its 25th reunion at homecoming this year, will be honored.

The 1980 team, under Head Coach Bobby Collins, finished its season 9-3, marking the first time since the 1962 season that a Golden Eagle team won nine games.
All former team members will participate in the Eagle Walk before the game. In addition, former standout Sammy Winder will host a tailgate party before and after the game. The tailgate party will be located at the
