The team again practiced today in full pads. Head Coach Jeff Bower said he was proud of how the team practiced yesterday and today.
?We had good scrimmaging yesterday,? Bower said. ?The team responded well and practiced hard. We also had a good day today. The last two days, our attitude has been good. The team has been upbeat. We need to carry that through the rest of the week.?
Following practice, Bower updated the conditions of several Golden Eagles.
Bower said junior wide receiver Anthony Perine (strained MCL) is ?running some and needs to get back tomorrow.? He added that senior wide receiver Antwon Courington (wisdom teeth) ?did some work today and got around well, and should be fine tomorrow.? Courington did not participate in team drills today. Senior offensive lineman Kendel Wheeler?s (ankle) ?ballooned yesterday, but he will be ready for this weekend.? He also said that redshirt freshman linebacker Gerald McRath is off crutches.

The 1980 team, under Head Coach Bobby Collins, finished its season 9-3, marking the first time since the 1962 season that a Golden Eagle team won nine games.
All former team members will participate in the Eagle Walk before the game. In addition, former standout Sammy Winder will host a tailgate party before and after the game. The tailgate party will be located at the
