Southern Miss falls to 9-4 overall, 0-1 in Conference
The Golden Eagles led by as many as 16 points in the first half, and led 45-36 at halftime.
But the Blazers shot 62.5 percent from the field in the second half, including a 10-0 run to start the second half. UAB would lead by as many as nine in the second half, before winning by eight.
Michael Ford scored 18 points to lead Southern Miss in scoring, while Rashaad Carruth added 17. Jasper Johnson contributed 12 points, while Jarekus Singleton netted 11, and Jason Forte finished with 10.
Donnell Taylor had 27 points to lead UAB.
