Southern Miss Opener At Nebraska To Be Televised By ABC
HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The 2004 Southern Miss football team will now compete in four televised games for the upcoming season.
The Golden Eagles' season opener against the University of Nebraska on Sept. 11 will be televised on a regional basis by ABC, as part of the Big 12 Conference's football package. The regionally-televised broadcast is set for an 11 a.m., CT, kickoff.
The contest will be Southern Miss' seventh all-time appearance on ABC, the first since facing Penn State in 1998.
Along with the Nebraska game, the Golden Eagles also will compete in televised games against California (Sept. 16 on ESPN), Houston (Oct. 7 on ESPN2) and Memphis (Nov. 12 on ESPN2).
