Southern Miss recorded the top five times in the 100 meters with Angela Johnson recording a season-best time of 11.71, finishing first and posting a regional qualifying mark. Tanika Liburd finished second with a time of 11.91 followed by Tori Wells with a time of 11.99, Stephanie McCullum was fourth at 12.07 and Raquel Washington was fifth with a time of 12.20. Johnson followed with the top time in the 200 meters at 24.37, Liburd was second at 25.13, Wells was third at 25.18 and McCullum turned a time of 15.24 for fourth place. Ebony Tindle finished sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 59.76 while Shannon Weaver was eighth with a time of 1:00.46. Alisha Edwards ran a 2:18.21 in the 800 meters, finishing second with Lydiah Chepkwony and Liz Palmer finishing third and fourth with times of 2:18.40 and 2:24.80, respectively. Naomi Kiprotich finished first in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:48.20, Cassandra Goodson was third with a time of 4:52.67 and Becca Wiseman was fourth with a time of 2:33.56. Raquel Washington ran a 13.99 in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing first and Hope Singleton finished fourth with a time of 16.02. The Lady Eagles posted the top five best jumps in the long jump, led by Liburd at 19?11.50? for a first-place finish, Weaver was second at 19?7?, Sharlynn Monroe third (19?0?), McCullum fourth (18-0.50?) and Lexi Washington fifth at 17?8.75?. Krista Miller led a group of Eagles in the high jump, jumping 5?8.75? for first place, followed by Kate Juedes at 5?3.75?. Singleton also jumped 5?3.75? in a tie for second with Juedes. Marcus Polk finished fourth in the 100 meters with a time of 10.55 while Shane Brandford finished in a tie for seventh with a time of 10.75. Polk ran a season-best time of 21.02 in the 200 meters, finishing first and posting a regional qualifying mark. Cedric Collins was seventh with a time of 22.00. Jerry Teachey finished sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 1:59.09. Cedric Norman jumped 23?5.50? in the long jump for a first-place finish and Robert Johnson finished sixth with a jump of 21?8?.
