Final Aggie Invitational Game Cancelled Due To Weather Conditions
COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The final game of the St. Joseph's Aggie II Invitational featuring Southern Miss and host Texas A&M has been canceled because of poor playing conditions.
Heavy rains in the Bryan-College Station area delayed the start of the game by more than an hour and game officials called the contest after the field conditions were deemed unplayable.
Southern Miss (5-11) finished the tournament with an 0-4 record, while the 23rd-ranked Aggies end the event with a 3-1 mark. No. 17 Oregon finished as the tournament champion after winning all five of its games, including a 2-0 win over Penn State earlier Sunday morning. The Nittany Lions left the event with a 1-4 record.
The Lady Eagles pick up action at home with doubleheaders on Wednesday and Thursday against McNeese State and Alabama State, respectively. The team then opens Conference USA action at home against Saint Louis.
