Football Continues Preparations For UAB
The team has come up short in its last three games, falling to
Head Coach Jeff Bower said the team needs to put the last three games out of its mind.
?You can?t look back at what happened in the last three games,? Bower said. ?We?ve got to take care of what?s ahead and try to win a game to get bowl eligible. We?ve got continue to turn it up on the practice field, and have it carry over into Saturday?s game. That?s all we can do.?
Bower added that starting quarterback Dustin Almond continues to get better from the back injury he sustained against TCU. Bower said Almond ?is getting better every day and will be ready? for Saturday?s UAB game.
Southern Miss (5-4, 4-3) hosts UAB in a 2 p.m., contest from M.M. Roberts Stadium this Saturday, Nov. 27. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the Southern Miss Ticket Office at 601-266-4518 or 1-800-844-TICK.
