Football Completes East Carolina Preparations
Head Football Coach Jeff Bower said the team had a good week of preparation, following last Saturday?s 27-3 loss to
?I think we?ve had a good week of practice,? Bower said. ?The team has bounced back well on the practice field this week.?
Bower said he hoped a lot of people, including former players, will turn out for Saturday?s contest.
?Homecoming is important, because you get a lot of people back on campus, who might not be able to go to all the games,? Bower said. ?It?s a special occasion. We?ve had a lot of our former players come back, and that?s neat.?
Bower added quarterback Dustin Almond continues to ?get better,? but hasn?t done anything full speed this week in practice. Bower also said Damion Carter, who will start the

Before the game, Southern Miss officials will hold a dedication ceremony for one of the University's most-generous supporters, Gene and Karen Carlisle. During the summer, the field was renamed Carlisle-Faulkner Field at M.M. Roberts Stadium in honor of entrepreneur, Southern Miss graduate and Golden Eagle supporter, Gene Carlisle, who has provided outstanding support and contributions to the Athletics Department and the University.
