Southern Miss - East Carolina Game On ESPN GamePlan
HATTIESBURG, Miss. ? Southern Miss? Saturday contest against East Carolina, scheduled for 6:05 p.m., from M. M. Roberts Stadium, will be televised on ESPN Gameplan, ESPN officials have told Southern Miss.
Those wanting to purchase the game, can do so by calling Comcast Cable, or ordering the game from espn.go.com.
Following the East Carolina game, Southern Miss (4-1, 3-0 in Conference USA) will have an off week before hosting Cincinnati on Nov. 6, 2004, at M. M. Roberts Stadium at 2 p.m.
Former Southern Miss and Oakland Raider great Ray Guy will be in attendance at the Cincinnati game and will be honored by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. He becomes the first punter in the hall's history to be inducted and Southern Miss' first player to be inducted. Former Head Coach Thad "Pie" Vann was inducted in 1987.
