Golden Eagle Hotline Debut
HATTIESBURG, Miss. ? The Golden Eagle Hotline with Coach Jeff Bower will make its 2003-2004 debut Tuesday, Aug. 5, from Garfield?s Restaurant and Pub in Hattiesburg. The one-hour radio call-in show runs from 7-8 p.m., on affiliates of the Southern Miss ISP Sports Network and features Coach Jeff Bower and the Voice of the Golden Eagles John Cox.
Bower will not appear live on the opening show, due to the arrival of the football squad and the crush of activities associated with opening week, but will appear live beginning next week and throughout the season. Instead, Bower will be on the show via telephone from the Southern Miss Athletic Complex.
Eagle Club Executive Director Dick Vogel and Athletic Foundation Director of Development Leigh Ann Warner will appearing live on the show, while Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky, University of California radio network analyst and former ABC commentator Lee Grosscup and Champions Tour professional Allen Doyle, who has a fast-growing athletic endowment through the Southern Miss Athletic Foundation, all will be on the show via telephone.
Golden Eagle fans are encouraged to attend the show at Garfield?s and participate by asking questions of the guests or by calling 1-888-ISP-SPORTS.
