Golden Eagles Wrap Up Cal Preparation HATTIESBURG, Miss. -
The Golden Eagles practiced for an hour-and-a-half Thursday afternoon, putting the finishing touches on game-week preparation.
"It was a good day," Southern Miss Head Coach Jeff Bower said. "It was just a good mental day for us. We had no gear on except our helmets. But we were just going through our game plan, and I thought we did well."
The Golden Eagles face California at Memorial Stadium in Berkeley, Calif., on Saturday. The team leaves for California Friday morning and will hold a final walk-through Friday afternoon. Kickoff for the game is set for 3 p.m., CT.
The game will be televised nationally on the HDNet high-definition network. It also will be broadcast on the Southern Miss/ISP Sports Network, with John Cox handling the play-by-play, Vic Purvis with analysis and Lance Pittman on the sideline. Broadcast for the game begins 90 minutes prior to kickoff.
