Southern Miss Continues Preparation For Cal HATTIESBURG, Miss. -
"I thought we were a little better on offense and executed better," Bower said. "We still have to iron out some missed assignments."
The Golden Eagles open the season against California on Saturday in Berkeley, Calif. Game time is set for 3 p.m., CT.
With only a pair of practices remaining before the team leaves for California, Bower knows his team has to remain focused.
"I think the next two days are critical," Bower said. "We are into the game plan and have been in it for a few days. Over the next two days, we need to eliminate all the mental errors and missed assignments."
Despite battling the high temperatures over the past few days, Bower has seen a good work ethic from his players.
"It has been good," Bower said. "We just had so much heat this week, but we have worked hard. We will cut back a little more and get the players ready to go. But we are in good shape."
