2003 Football Ticket Prices Announced
HATTIESBURG, Miss. ? Southern Miss Director of Athletics Richard Giannini has released ticket price information for the 2003 football season. The six-game home schedule is highlighted by a visit from Nebraska, scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 25. That game will be televised by ESPN.
Other opponents visiting ?The Rock? include Memphis (Sept. 13), South Florida (Oct. 25), Louisiana-Lafayette (Nov. 1), Tulane (Nov. 15) and TCU (Thu, Nov. 20).
?Judging from the feedback we have received recently from our supporters, demand for 2003 football season tickets will be high,? said Giannini. ?We have expanded the ticket sales period to meet this demand.?
Football season ticketholders from the 2002 season, who meet the Eagle Club criteria, will be given first priority on renewing seats from last season. Renewal materials for the upcoming season will be mailed in the next couple of weeks. This year?s priority order deadline is Friday, May 30. Seat assignments for new season ticketholders will be made during the month of July.
Nebraska single game ticket sales are being limited to 2003 football season ticketholders and current Eagle Club members. Applications will be mailed to these groups in the near future. Ticket limits will be established based upon Eagle Club giving levels and number of football season tickets purchased. Single game tickets will not be placed with season locations, and it is anticipated that most single game tickets will be located in the upper decks or endzone areas. Orders will be filled based on Eagle Club ranking priority. Acceptance of ticket order does not guarantee order will be filled.
Determination regarding the sale of Nebraska tickets to other groups will be made at a later date (no earlier than May 30).
?Those interested in a Nebraska ticket are encouraged to consider season ticket purchase and/or Eagle Club membership,? noted Giannini. ?The contracted ticket demands of our opponent and high interest in this game mean a very limited number of single game tickets will be available.?
