* Southern Miss? 28-14 win over Tulane is the Golden Eagles? 18th in the all-time series and the ninth in games played in
* The league victory also gives Southern Miss a 6-0 record, in Conference
* The Golden Eagle offense amassed 397 yards on 67 plays in the game, the second-best offensive output of the season. It?s also the most yards gained in Conference
* Quarterback Dustin Almond won his fourth-straight game since regaining his starting position against USF. Almond finished the game with 231 yards and two touchdowns on 11-of-16 passing. The yardage is the third-most of Almond?s career, behind only a 258-yard outing against USF last season (
* Running back Anthony Harris piled a game-high 111 yards on a season-high 33 carries and scored one touchdown. It was Harris? third 100-yard game in the last four, and also his fourth with more than 80 yards. The touchdown also gives the running
* Wide receiver Marvin Young finished with 48 yards on five catches in the game but did not grab a touchdown reception for the first time in four games. Young did score in the game, however, as he was on the receiving end of a two-point conversion pass from Almond. Young also made his first pass attempt of his career, an interception in the third quarter.
* Sophomore receiver Antwon Courington finished with 87 yards on three catches to lead the Golden Eagles in receiving yards.
* Two Southern Miss players ? redshirt-junior receiver DaRon Lawrence and freshman tight end Alan Whitney ? registered the first touchdown catch of their respective careers.
* Freshman place-kicker Darren McCaleb connected on both a 41-yard field goal and a 47-yarder in the game. The two kicks give McCaleb three field goals of 40 yards or more this season.
