Golden Eagles Wrap Up Alabama Preparation HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss Golden Eagle football team concluded game-week preparation for this weekend's non-conference tilt against the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The team went through its final practice, Thursday afternoon, before leaving the Southern Miss campus on Friday.
Kickoff for the game is slated for 2:05 p.m., Saturday, at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
"It's been good," Southern Miss Head Coach Jeff Bower said. "The preparation's been good. We just have to go play well. The team is focused. We have had a good week of preparation. We know we have to take care of the ball and play a physical game. They're a physical football team."
Saturday's game will be televised on a pay-per-view basis. Residents of Mississippi and Alabama may call their local cable operator to order the game. The game also will be available on DISH Network or by calling 1-800-TVSTARS. It also is available as part of the ESPN GamePlan package.
The game also will be broadcast on the Southern Miss/ISP Sports Network, with John Cox handling the play-by-play, Vic Purvis with analysis and Lance Pittman on the sideline. Broadcast for the game begins one hour prior to kickoff.
