Goodson Leads The Way At The Ole Miss Invitational
? Southern Miss placed its top five runners in the top 10, including the top finisher, on its way to winning the Ole Miss Invitational Friday with 19 points.
Cassandra Goodson was the overall finisher with a time of 22:55.34 in the 5K run. Becca Wiseman finished third with a time of 23:24.40, followed by Lydiah Chepkwony with a time of 24:03.91, Keri White with a time of 24:08.00 and Karen Tankersley with a time of 24:22.92, and finished fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively. Rounding the other Lady Eagle top seven finishers included Rachel Nix, 11th overall, with a time of 25:19.11, Alisha Edwards 12th with a time of 25:26.26.
Ole Miss finished second with 36 points and
Southern Miss returns to action Oct. 10 at the Auburn Invitational.
