Musical Extravaganza Kicks Off Rumble at the Rock
Hattiesburg, Miss. - Southern Miss opens its 2002 football season Saturday night against Jackson State in a game being sponsored by WHLT-TV in Hattiesburg and WJTV in Jackson, a game that has been dubbed "Rumble at the Rock."

A Friday night musical extravaganza starting at 8 o'clock at the downtown Saenger Theatre will officially kick off a busy weekend of activities. The event is being hosted by ventriloquist Lesha Campbell and will feature such performers as Derrick Burt, Jessica Jackson and Vergia Dishmon, along with a special appearance by Henry Rhodes and Band.
