Southern Miss Students Claim Entire Allotment
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss Director of Athletics Richard Giannini has announced that Southern Miss students have claimed their entire allotment for Saturday?s football opener against Jackson State, Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m., at M.M. Roberts Stadium.
Tuesday morning, approximately 500 student tickets were remaining in the student sections in the east stands. Student demand was so heavy that additional student seats were issued in the south endzone. Approximately 6,500 seats for the game will be filled by USM students and their guests.
?We applaud the students for their enthusiastic support of our football program,? said Giannini. ?We hope this high level of support continues throughout our 2002 home schedule?.
