2002 Football Ticket Prices
Hattiesburg, Miss. - Southern Miss Athletic Director Richard Giannini has released football ticket prices for the upcoming 2002 football season. The 12-game schedule is highlighted by six home games at The Rock versus non-conference foes Jackson State (Sat., Aug. 31) and Illinois (Sat., Sept. 7), in addition to Conference USA matchups versus Memphis (Sat., Sept. 21), Cincinnati (Sat., Oct. 19), Louisville (Thur., Nov 14) and East Carolina (Sat., Nov 30).
?We encourage all Golden Eagle fans to support the football program by purchasing season tickets for the upcoming campaign,? said Giannini. ?You?ll see some outstanding football this year as well as build priority for the 2003 season when Nebraska is scheduled to visit Hattiesburg.?
Seven packages are offered on a season basis, ranging in price from $60 to $174. New packages include the premium chairback seat and a senior and military zone, good in select areas on the west side of the stadium. The faculty/staff discount, offered to full-time university employees, also has been expanded to cover three additional packages. Seating locations in most prime areas are determined by the current Eagle Club priority seating plan.
Single game prices for 2002 home games range from $10 to $25. All single game tickets for the home opener versus Jackson State are priced at $25. For the remaining opponents, lower deck tickets will be $25, while upper deck ticket plans include the Eagle Value Pack at $19 and the Top of the Rock at $12. The Family Plan that admits one adult and one youth into select west side sections is $29. Family Plan tickets for additional youth can be purchased at $10 each. Group discounts are also available on a single game basis.
High ticket demand for the Jackson State and Alabama games has mandated that restrictions be placed on sales for these events.
Football ticket information for the 2002 season is being mailed starting Monday, April 8. Orders for new season tickets and single games will be accepted at the Southern Miss Ticket Office starting Monday morning, April 15. Eagle Club members and renewing football season ticketholders have a priority order deadline of May 31, 2002.
