Cundiff Named Pitcher of the Week

The sophomore pitched a 3-0 shutout against Mississippi State on Wednesday, April 3, giving up six hits, while striking out three. She also got a win against Louisville on Saturday, April 6, pitching the final four innings and recording only two hits against the Cardinals, in the 5-4 win.
Cundiff did not surrender a run in her four appearances last week and did not give up a walk, while striking out seven. She has not given up a run in her last 23.2 innings on the mound, and opponents have yet to score against her at the new Southern Miss Softball Complex.
Cundiff is 6-8 on the year with a 1.68 ERA. She has 67 strikeouts and 15 walks in 100 innings.
The Lady Eagles (22-21) travel to Alabama on Wednesday, April 10, facing the Crimson Tide in a single game, starting at 6:30 p.m.
