Softball Doubleheader Against LSU Is Cancelled
HATTIESBURG, Miss. ? The Southern Miss softball team?s doubleheader against LSU for this evening has been cancelled due to unplayable field conditions.
The Lady Eagles were scheduled to face the No. 5 Tigers at 5 p.m., but recent rainstorms have affected the conditions at the Southern Miss Softball Complex. The recently-opened Complex has hosted only one doubleheader, a March 21 twin bill against Arkansas.
The doubleheader has been rescheduled to Wednesday, April 24, at 5 p.m. The Lady Eagles were to face LSU in Baton Rouge, La., on April 24, but that doubleheader has been moved to Thursday, April 18, at 5:30 p.m.
Southern Miss is scheduled to host UAB this weekend in a Conference USA three-game series. A single game will start at 5 p.m., on Friday, March 29, and a doubleheader will start at 1 p.m., on Saturday, March 30.
