COLUMBUS, Ga. ? The Southern Miss softball team went hitless against No. 25 Massachusetts, as the Minutewomen claimed a 2-0 win. UMASS advances to the championship game of the Bronze Tournament at the NFCA Leadoff Classic.
Kaila Holtz pitched the no-hitter, giving up one walk and striking out six. She improved to 3-2 on the year.
The game was scoreless, going to the top of the fifth, when UMASS (6-4) loaded the bases.
