Southern Miss Announces Special Ticket Plans
for East Carolina Football Game
Hattiesburg, Miss. -- Southern Miss Director of Athletics Richard Giannini has announced several special ticket offers in conjunction with the season?s final home football game against East Carolina, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m., at The Rock. The game may have major implications in terms of the Golden Eagles? postseason bowl aspirations.
Youths, high school age and under, will be able to purchase tickets in the east upper deck at $4 each. Golden Eagle fans purchased nearly 3,000 discounted tickets in this same area for the recent Thursday night game versus Louisville, and helped promote the Golden Eagle Athletic Department, Southern Miss and the Hattiesburg area to a national audience. The atmosphere for that game was ?Big Time? in every sense of the word.
Full-time Southern Miss students will be allowed one complimentary guest admission in recognition of their outstanding support throughout the 2002 season. Students' guests will be admitted without a ticket when the accompanying student presents his/her student ID for verification at the student gates.
The East Carolina game ticket stub also may be presented for a discount on tickets for the men?s basketball game versus South Alabama later in the evening. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., at The Green House. Adult bleacher admission will be $2 and youths high school ages and under will be $1.
?We have a number of major home events scheduled for the week of Thanksgiving,? noted Giannini. ?We encourage Golden Eagles fans to include us in their holiday plans.?
