Eagle Sendoff Planned For Southern Miss' TCU Trip
Southern Miss football fans are encouraged to be part of a community-wide sendoff for the Golden Eagles on Tuesday, Oct. 29, as they head for Ft. Worth, Texas, and Wednesday night's game against TCU. The game will be televised on ESPN2, starting at 6:30 p.m.
All fans are invited to meet in the Lake Terrace Convention Center parking lot on Tuesday at 2:15 p.m., for a press conference that will invite support from area businesses to encourage their employees to attend Southern Miss' ESPN Game Night At The Rock on Nov. 14. The Golden Eagles take on Conference USA rival Louisville in the 6:30 p.m., contest.
Businesses will be asked to encourage their employees to purchase tickets and also asked to allow those employees to get off work at 3 p.m., so they can come to the Southern Miss campus to tailgate and cheer on the Golden Eagles.
At 2:30 p.m., the buses transporting the Golden Eagle football team are scheduled to drive through the convention center parking lot for a spirited community sendoff.
