Lady Eagle Cross Country Update
The Southern Miss Lady Eagle cross country team competes in the Alabama Invitational, Sept. 15.
The team is coming off a fourth-place finish at the Tulane Green Wave Cross Country Invitational, placing three runners in the top 15. Jessica Crump was the top finisher for the Golden Eagles, covering two-mile course in 12:26.30. Newcomer Rose Kurui finished ninth with a time of 12:31.10, and Keri White finished 11th overall with a time of 12:33.80.
Southern Miss will host its annual cross country meet, Sept. 21, at the B. O. Vann Hook Golf Course, pavilion side. The collegiate women's race begins approximately 4:30 p.m., followed by the men's race at 5:45 p.m.
