Golden Eagles Announce Football Time Changes
HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The University of Southern Mississippi today announced changes to the 2001 football schedule, involving games that are being televised and that required different starting times.
The Sept. 1 season-opener against Oklahoma State has been moved from 6 p.m., to 11 a.m.; the Nov. 23 game at East Carolina has been moved from 6 p.m., to 5:30 p.m.; and, the regular season finale against Texas Christian has been moved from 6 p.m., to 7 p.m.
In addition, the Sept. 15 game at Alabama will start at 4:45 p.m. Southern Miss' other televised game, Oct. 16 at Louisville, will start at 7 p.m.
The only time not currently available is the Nov. 3 game at Penn State.
The complete 2001 schedule, including times, is as follows:
Sept. 1 Oklahoma State 11 a.m.
15 at Alabama 4:45 p.m.
22 at Louisiana-Lafayette 7 p.m.
29 UAB 6 p.m.
Oct. 6 at Memphis 7 p.m.
16 at Louisville 7 p.m.
27 Houston 2 p.m.
Nov. 3 at Penn State TBA
17 Tulane 2 p.m.
23 at East Carolina 5:30 p.m.
30 TCU 7 p.m.
