Football Season Ticket Renewal Mailing
Hattiesburg, Miss. - Southern Miss Department of Athletics 2001 football season
ticket renewal applications will be mailed to previous season ticket holders, current
Eagle Club members and current USM faculty and staff by Friday, April 13, 2001.
The priority order deadline is set for Thursday, May 31st. Football season ticket
orders may be submitted in person at the Southern Miss Ticket Office, located
in the Pat Ferlise Center on the Hattiesburg campus. Orders also can be
mailed to the ticket office at Box 5105, Hattiesburg, MS 39406, faxed to
601-266-6529, or purchased online at www.SouthernMiss.com.
"Spring practice has gone very well this year and my staff and I can't wait for
the 2001 season to begin," Head Football Coach Jeff Bower said. "We have
another talented group of players returning, along with a great class of
newcomers that should make for another exciting year of Golden Eagle
Football. We're playing our usual tough schedule but the players are ready for
the challenge. In addition, we're adding another game at "The Rock" this
season, giving our players another chance to play in front of our great home
crowd. Come out and support the Golden Eagles as we aim for another
Conference USA championship and a fifth-straight bowl game."
Ticket allocations and obligations were in excess of 18,000 for the 2000
campaign. The 10,441 season packages sold, combined with staff, student
and corporate tickets, was an increase over the 1999 season by over 1,200.
The five-game home schedule includes games with Oklahoma State (9/1),
UAB (9/29), Houston - H-omecoming (10/27), Tulane (11/17) and TCU
(11/30). Season ticket packages for the home schedule include the premium
sideline seat at $120 each. The East Rock Option, which includes all bench
seats on the east side lower level, costs $100. The Eagle Value Pack
includes bench seats on the west and east upper decks for $90. The Family
Plan offers west side seating for one adult and one youth ages 14 and under
for $125. Additional children’s packages can be ordered with the family plan
for $40. There is also a lower deck ticket available to current full-time USM
faculty/staff for $96.
New for 2001 is the Eagle Perch. For $20 a seat per season, the athletic
department will install a cushioned chairback seat on the bench location of
subscribing season ticket holders.
Orders for single game tickets for home and away games also are being
accepted. Home tickets cost $24 on the lower level and $18 in the benches
on the upper levels. Ten Dollar tickets are available in the high rows of the
east side upper level. The family plan ticket costs $25, with additional youth
family tickets costing $8 each. Away game prices vary and are established by
the host school. Ticket orders for the Alabama and Penn State games are
limited to renewing football season ticket holders and Eagle Club members
until the end of May. Single game seat assignments will be made and tickets
will be mailed late in the summer.
