Athletic Department Announces
Military Discount for TCU Game
HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss Director of Athletics Richard Giannini has announced a special military discount for the final home football game of the 2001 season, versus TCU on Friday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m., versus TCU.
"We continue to look for ways to reach out to a wider fan base," Giannini said. "This also is an appropriate time for each of us to try to do something special for our military personnel. We currently have the moving Vietnam Wall on our campus. We also all are aware of our current military situation, following the tragic events of Sept. 11. This is the Southern Miss Athletic Department's way of saying thanks to every member of our armed forces."
Upon presentation of a military ID card, eligible personnel will able to purchase upper level seats on the east side at $8 each. The discounted price represents up to a $10 savings off the standard ticket price in this area. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the campus ticket office and all regional Ticketmaster ticket centers. If available, discounted tickets may also be purchased at the stadium ticket office the day of the game.
The above discount plans do not apply to previously purchased tickets for the game.
Ticket prices to the general public for the game are $24 on the lower decks and $18 and $10 on the upper decks. The family plan that admits one adult and one youth ages 14-and-under is also available for $25.
